Lena Points #25: Hogganfield Loch
A Hidden Gem in Glasgow
Heading Out East in Glasgow
Lena returns to Student Tours Scotland with yet another showcase of her fantastic pointing skills! This time we took her to Hogganfield Loch in Glasgow East. It's a huge loch surrounded by a park of the same name and even has a golf course nearby. It's massive and full of wildlife. You can get here really easy from Glasgow City Centre by buses (or take a train to Stepps and walk back towards it). There is an island in the middle which is now a bird sanctuary and a wee sandy beach near the far side from the entrance. You're even close to a few other lochs and recently Hogganfield was merged into the Seven Lochs Wetland Park.
